Former BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn has offered a comment about what’s going on with Bioware’s Anthem, and what has happened during its development.
The work on Anthem has been quite hard as you might’ve heard thanks to a report from Kotaku last week.
“Surreal is a good word for it,” Flynn, now employed at Improbable in Edmonton, the same city of BioWare, said about the reception of the game.
“It’s tough. But at the same time I know they’re working so hard on it. Mixed emotions, surreal – those are all good words [for what I’m feeling]… Fiscal years are fiscal years. You don’t have to squint too hard to know what’s going on.”
Based on this, we might be seeing Flynn hinting at the fact that the game had to respect certain deadlines as the reason behind how incomplete it felt at the release.
The former GM has left BioWare twenty months ago and has led the development for quite a long while before passing the baton to Mass Effect’s creator Casey Hudson.
