Geoff Robinson, who sometimes went by the alias iNcontroL, tragically passed away on Saturday due to a “sudden illness.” He was only 33 years old.

Robinson was a former StarCraft 2 professional player, who joined the organization Evil Geniuses in 2009. He even led the StarCraft 2 roster for Evil Geniuses.

He eventually left Evil Geniuses to become a content creator, often streaming on Twitch. He was also a popular podcaster and host for gaming tournaments.

He was beloved by many fans and people within the industry, most of whom described Robinson as a witty and friendly man. He was very much an active contributor to the Esports and streaming fandom. He even streamed on July 19, the day before he passed away.

The news broke on Robinson’s social media accounts, revealing that the popular streamer passed away last Saturday. His passing is described as “unexpected” and was due to a “sudden illness.”

This sudden tragic has hit many fans hard, especially since his passing seemingly came out of nowhere. For fans who want to honor Robinson or wish to support his family in any, Robinson’s social media accounts request that people donate to Southern California Bulldog Rescue, a non-profit rescue group that rehabilitates homeless English Bulldogs. The SoCal Bulldog Rescue was an organization that Geoff Robinson loved.
