New Dune games are coming out soon, and Funcom is set to work on them

Funcom announces they’re making a series of Dune games, yesterday. The video game developers are partnering with Herbert Properties LLC and Legendary Pictures, the studio behind the new Dune movie set to release in 2020.

Funcom plans to have their Oslo studio working on these games, and they’re set to begin development later this year. So far, there are no further details on how the games are going to play, how many Funcom will create, and when we can expect to hear more details.

For the past few years, Funcom has been working on their survival-adventure title, Conan Exiles, which was first available early access in 2017 and later officially released in May 2018. They also developed Secret World: Legends, Age of Conan, Anarchy Online, and many more.

The game announcement is icing on an already stacked cake because a Dune game has not come to the market since 2001.

For now, fans are already eagerly awaiting the release of the 2020 Dune movie.
