Ghost Recon’s next game is going to get announced today after it had already been leaked online a few days ago when it went up on Ubisoft’s game store
Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon announcement takes place today 11:30 AM, PDT, or 2:30 PM EST. We may have gotten a quick glimpse at what they’re going to reveal yesterday, when the collector’s edition of the next game showed up much earlier on their game’s store, before being quickly taken down.
We know the game is likely going to be called Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and they plan to launch the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 4 of this year. Beyond that, we do not have any other additional details about the game’s mechanics or gameplay style.
Supposedly, the antagonist of the game is going to feature Netflix’s The Punisher Jon Bernthal, who Ubisoft first introduced to the franchise during Operation Oracle, a free update to Ghost Recon Wildlands, last week. Wildlands’ latest update may have been done to attempt to connect the two titles.
Given the nature of the statue for the game’s collector edition that had gotten leaked, we may have a bit more stealth in this game than what players had while they played Ghost Recon Wildlands. We’re going to learn more as the announcement comes out.
For those who wish to watch the announcement life, check out Ubisoft’s YouTube channel, which we’ve linked below. You can hit the play button and watch the countdown before it goes live.
