H1Z1 Battle Royale has been an instant hit on PlayStation 4, where it is currently available in an open beta stage which is playable for free before the full version launch.
Developer Daybreak has announced it has already been played by 1.5+ million users on PlayStation 4, which gives the idea of how much the game is being appreciated and the genre played right now, and in just one day.
Interestingly, the studio is hard at work to make the game feel and play just right before the full launch is ready, and this means they need to polish it up from bugs and glitches that might occur during the open beta.
“We’re continuing to work to resolve login and purchase issues, and are committed to bringing you a pure battle royale experience,” the studio claimed in a tweet few hours ago, informing the players that a patch is on its way.
[PS4 Open Beta] A huge THANK YOU to the 1,500,000+ of you who have joined us in The Arena since the #H1Z1 Open Beta launch on #PS4 yesterday! We’re continuing to work to resolve login and purchase issues, and are committed to bringing you a pure battle royale experience.

H1Z1 has never meant to become a battle royale title back in 2016, when it originally shipped. In those days, battle royale games didn’t even exist. The project was split into two different projects, H1Z1: Just Survive and H1Z1: King of the Kill.
In October 2017, Just Survive dropped the H1Z1 name, and King of the Kill became simply H1Z1. After three years in early access, H1Z1 released on 28th February 2018 and a few months later became free-to-play.
