On his English Twitter account, Hideo Kojima has revealed that he won’t be at The Game Awards this year.
Kojima being at The Game Awards is an annual practice that usuall doesn’t even need a confirm, but it looks like it’s not a given this time around.
“Good luck on your show tomorrow, Geoff! Sorry I couldn’t make this time!,” he shared with his followers a few minutes ago.
Geoff Keighley quickly answered the call, with a rainbow which doesn’t look like the one of a person who’s sad about the absence of a friend, and then The Game Awards Twitter account added an even more suspicious emoji.
Our opinion is this is just another bluff by Kojima and Keighley who are trying and creating a bit of buzz and surprise about Death Stranding’s new reveal at the event.
The event is supposed to have the game and a new trailer with possibly a reference to a release date or window, likely planned for 2019.
