The original Dying Light has been around for so long after its initial, and a bit troubled, launch, and it looks like Techland is planning something similar for Dying Light 2. The game is going to be supported for years after the release, slated for Spring 2020, but how long is the story mode set to be upon day one?

Lead game designer Tymon Smektala has shared that the story mode will take from 15 to 20 hours to complete, but that the entire world offers you content for up to 100 hours.

“Things just happen as you play the game, and you have to react to them. But it is 15 to 20 hours for the main story, because the whole content, I would say, is more than 100 hours,” Smektala had to say.

This time around, Techland has put a lot of effort into the story aspect of the title.

The original game had a beautiful and interesting story, but for Dying Light 2, also thanks to the help of Chris Avellone, the team has worked on a branching storyline and a system of factions that will truly impact your gameplay, and will lead you to replay the game to see how it would’ve ended up if you acted in a certain way during a mission.

So, this is what you can expect from the game once it releases next year. Is it enough in terms of content, or were you expecting something more for this sequel? Let us know!
