Actor Jon Bernthal has been quite busy as of late. Aside from starring in popular shows like Netflix’s The Punisher and AMC’s The Walking Dead, he’s currently the lead bad guy in Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which releases tomorrow. But in a recent interview with Digital Trends, he revealed a role that he’d like to play – Little Mac from Nintendo’s Punch-Out!! series.

Bernthal talked about his love for 80’s video games, and the interviewer followed that up by asking which character he’d like to play.

“What I’ve been playing with the kids is Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!” he said. “Little Mac, he’s really small, but that would be really cool, I think – his rise up through the ranks.”

For those unfamiliar, Little Mac is the small but sufficient boxer featured in Nintendo’s previous Punch-Out!! games. The last one to release came out a few years ago for the Nintendo Wii, though a version of the arcade game is currently available through Arcade Archives on Nintendo Switch.

The actor continued, talking about how he would also be interested in doing a Castlevania movie. “I really dug that game, Castlevania,” he added. “I’m old-school, I’m probably aging myself here, that’s sort of the limits of my video game knowledge.”

And finally, he proclaimed his love for Bandai Namco’s classic Galaga. “If I see Galaga in the old-school arcade, it’s hard for me to pass that by – I’m still very much into that.”

While he doesn’t have any new video game projects as of late, fans can catch him in Breakpoint for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Oh, and Nintendo, give us a new Punch-Out!! We need it.
