Keyblades that were pre-order exclusives in Kingdom Hearts III are now available for purchase in the game.

Pre-order bonuses are extra incentives to get more buyers to purchase the game early, and pay for it at full retail price. Kingdom Hearts III did this by offering players Keyblades that they wouldn’t be able to get in the main game.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One had their own Keyblade exclusive pre-order. PS4 had the Midnight Blue Keyblade, while Xbox One had the Phantom Green. Midnight Blue is a blue variation of the classic Star Seeker Keyblade from past games. Both were digital pre-orders, meaning you needed to pre-order the games digitally either through the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live.

Hitting opponents with the Midnight Blue will have the shapes that are on PlayStation controller buttons pop out of the enemy.

The Phantom Green is a green variation of the Star Seeker. Hitting foes with the Phantom Green will make the Xbox symbol, a green X on an orb, pop out of the enemies.

Another pre-order exclusive Keyblade is the Amazon-exclusive Dawn Till Dusk. Dawn Till Dusk was a 7-Eleven exclusive Keyblade in Japan, which explains is why the Keyblade is named after the hours that 7-Eleven is infamous open for.

For months now all these Keyblades were trapped in the pre-order void, meaning if you didn’t pre-order Kingdom Hearts online or through Amazon, you couldn’t get these Keyblades at all. Square Enix now has appeared to have lifted this ban; players can now purchase these Keyblades on the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live. They both cost 2.99 USD.

These are the first wave of payable DLC that has been released for Kingdom Hearts III. There will be a more substantial DLC pack under the working title as ReMind coming to the game in the future.
