We all know that Hideo Kojima is somewhat active on his social networks, both as a game maker, which is what we love him for and as a fan of movies.

Today, as he often does, Kojima dropped a teaser through his Twitter account, and this time around the teaser is involving Death Stranding and is quite surprising.

In the tweet, the creator of Metal Gear says he’s on a “break” with “Sam,” the protagonist of the much anticipated PS4 exclusive played by The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus.

Interestingly, the tweet has two pics: one of the outsides of the office at Tokyo, and another with an off-screen look at Death Stranding itself.

The pic looks to have taken from a gameplay sequence, as proved by the DualShock 4 on Kojima’s desk, and possibly shows a location we’ve never got to see in the game. Indeed, Sam is likely hidden in the wild nature, with lots of plants and grass around him that could make for the brightest environment we’ve ever seen in the game.

Thus far, indeed, we’ve been shown only post-apocalyptic, grey, and almost blank locations where basically nothing was left from the nature that had once inhabited the earth. Could this be a look at another planet or timeline?

It’s very little to comment on, but sure enough, this is a great hint at things to come for the title, and things that could get shown at around the time of E3 as Kojima is already editing a brand new trailer for it (despite Sony not being at Los Angeles this year).
