Luigi’s Mansion 3 releases for the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 31, Nintendo confirmed earlier today. The game got announced during Sept. 2018, and we have been waiting to learn more about when we’d help the better brother fight ghosts ever since.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the first time the series is getting featured on the Nintendo Switch. The game includes the Scarescraper, a cooperative and competitive mode you can enjoy with up to eight other players. Players can summon a weird, gooey version of Luigi called Gooigi who can gain access to places you can’t but is entirely undone by water. A friend can control your gooey compatriot during local co-op.

The game also features new abilities like the Slam, where you can slam a ghost into the ground. There’s the Suction Shot, which allows you to pull objects, and the new Burst attack. Players need to help Luigi to deal with the haunted hotel he finds himself in when he was trying to have a lovely relaxing holiday.

Luigi embarks on a dream vacation with Mario and friends upon receiving an invitation to a luxurious hotel. However, his dream quickly becomes a nightmare when King Boo reveals everything had been a ploy to capture Mario and friends. With the assistance of Professor E. Gadd once again, the reluctant and cowardly hero Luigi traverses up and down treacherous floors of the now-ominous hotel on a quest to save them.

Developed by Next Level Games, it’s the first installment in the series to appear on the Nintendo Switch and certainly seems to take advantage of the system’s power. Honestly, I might be looking forward to this one even more than Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 releases on October 31 and costs $59.99.
