Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle’s Donkey Kong Adventure debuts this month | E3 2018

Today, during Ubisoft’s E3 2018 press conference, the upcoming Donkey Kong DLC expansion for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was teased with a live musical performance cut with new footage of the Donkey Kong Adventure expansion.

The new DLC stars everyone’s favorite goofy gorilla, Donkey Kong, and he’s joined by Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Cranky Kong to change things up a bit. This DLC expansion adds on four new areas to the cartoony strategy title, with Donkey Kong taking up arms in the form of a banana-rang to obliterate anyone that stands in his way.

Rabbid Peach uses the same abilities she was known for in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom battle, and Rabbid Cranky has a powerful crossbow to take baddies out with.The expansion will include four new levels for a total of 10 new hours of gameplay, which is a hefty addition to an already content-rich title. 

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a turn-based tactical role-playing game developed and published by Ubisoft for Nintendo Switch, including both characters from Mario games and Ubisoft’s rabbit-like Rabbids characters. It released to a surprising amount of critical acclaim when it first made its debut after a series of leaks. Fans were shocked to see the crossover offered an addictive blend of XCOM-like strategy with fun Nintendo-related quirks, and the Rabbids dashing in some zaniness as well.

You’ll be able to cruise through the jungle with Donkey Kong and friends on June 26, though Switch owners who purchase the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle season pass will receive access a day early on June 25.
