During the latest State of Play, we’ve learned about the release date of MediEvil for PlayStation 4, after a very long wait for it.

The game is coming to PS4 on October 25, 2019, as promised in the launch window of this fall, from developer Other Ocean Interactive.

As a proper remake, the title features “a complete graphical overhaul, an improved camera system, and a brand-new narrator (brought to life by veteran voice actress Lani Minella).”

On top of that, anyway, as it has already happened with Shadow of the Colossus, the developer is introducing something new to it.

“We’re adding a whole casket full of secrets to this PlayStation classic that we can’t wait for you to dig up,” said the studio.

While we’ve not been provided any details about what this could be – we bet on something like easter eggs more than revolutionary content – we’re told more information will be released before the street date.

So, with MediEvil releasing on October 25, 2019, Sony has its good exclusive game for the incoming fall.

On top of that, as a reminder, this is the same window where Concrete Genie is expected to drop, so this would look like a good way to let us know that The Last of Us Part II & co. are coming 2020.
