A new rumor has started spreading during the last few hours about the possible acquisitions in the making at Microsoft Studios.

The platform owner is in talks with Left 4 Dead and Evolve developer Turtle Rock Studios, according to insider Klobrille.

Microsoft Reportedly In Talks With Evolve Dev Turtle Rock Studios

Klobrille was the one who spread the rumor of Playground Games being acquired by Microsoft before the E3 2018, where the actual announcement happened.

“I can say MS are (or were!) in talks with Turtle Rock Studios,” he said on Twitter, hinting at the possibility that talks might’ve been ended without success, anyway.

“This is nowhere near the same level like Obsidian though. So don’t take this as a “Klobrille confirmed it …”-statement – and instead just as a confirmation on existing talks.”

Based on what he said, the studio might have been looked into because it’s “great multiplayer creators for Game Pass.”

So, the acquisition would be around having the possibility of sharing long running titles for the service subscribers.

Would it be a good fit for Microsoft Studios?
