Encore will have all previously released Support Quests DLC from the original game included, and all outfits that have already been released will be included as well in the game, in addition to a few new ones. The character Mamori will have a new outfit called the Officers Academy outfit, which is based on the student uniforms from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Players can now draw in the assistance of characters like Tiki, Maiko, and Barry through chainable sessions. Sessions are when the players attack an enemy at their weak point, and follow it up on with another blow.
Finally, a new function called “Quick Sessions” will be incorporated in the game. “Quick Sessions” will speed up Sessions Attacks to make battles with enemies shorter.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a crossover game between Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei. It features a group of teenage protagonists, who are all trying to become next pop idols in Tokyo. Mysterious creatures called mirages are attacking Tokyo, so it is up to the protagonists to fight these creatures. They allied themselves with good mirages; these good mirages are based on past protagonists from the Fire Emblem series.
The original Mirage Sessions released on the Wii U in the U.S. and Europe in 2016, and it is now being re-released for the Switch as Encore.
