Nintendo Switch Online is finally releasing September 18 and is including, together with the ability to play multiplayer titles with your friends, cloud saves and a continuously refreshing library of NES games.
The launch lineup of Nintendo Entertainment System titles features 20 games, which you are going to be able to play as soon as the service launches next week.
Here’s the full list:
- Soccer
- Tennis
- Donkey Kong
- Mario Bros.
- Super Mario Bros.
- Balloon Fight
- Ice Climber
- Dr. Mario
- The Legend of Zelda
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Double Dragon
- River City Ransom
- Ghosts’n Goblins
- Tecmo Bowl
- Gradius
- Pro Wrestling
- Excitebike
- Yoshi
- Ice Hockey
- Baseball
As you can see, classic games such as Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, Ice Hockey are part of the offering, and Pro Wrestling is re-releasing for the first time from its original release in 1987.
Three games will be added in October, November and December, and those have already been revealed:
- October – Solomon’s Key, NES Open Tournament Golf, Super Dodge Ball
- November – Metroid, Mighty Bomb Jack, TwinBee
- December – Wario’s Woods, Ninja Gaiden, Adventures of Lolo
New wireless NES style controllers are also being released this year for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers only. Priced 59,99 dollars a pair, these controllers can be recharged being attached to the Switch similarly to Joy-Cons. Shipments are starting in mid-December.
