Hero, a DLC character based on several protagonists from the Dragon Quest games, may be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in July.
A recent Nintendo Trailer may have revealed that the Hero DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release this month.
Nintendo revealed during this year’s E3 that the protagonists from several of the Dragon Quest games will become a singular playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Called Hero, the main protagonist from Dragon Quest XI is the default skin for this new character. The other skins are the protagonists from Dragon Quest III, IV, and VIII.
The Hero was the second DLC character revealed; he comes after Joker from Persona 5, who was the first DLC character to be released. No release date for Hero was revealed during Nintendo’s E3 presentation.
Nintendo earlier today released a new trailer that focuses on their upcoming releases for July. The new trailer highlighted games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and Fire Emblem Three Houses, both games that are going to release in the following two weeks.
However, oddly enough, the Hero’s reveal trailer was also briefly shown in the trailer. Hero appears at the 15-second mark of the trailer.
Since the trailer is called “Fan-Favorites & Newest Releases – July,” and it exclusively shows off titles that are going to release in July, the assumption is that Hero will also release this month as well.
