Ori and the Blind Forest is getting a sequel, and it’s coming next year. During Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference, Xbox revealed that Ori and the Will of the Wisps will release on PC and Xbox One in 2019.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps picks up from the original Ori and features 4K resolutions and HDR graphics. Once again, players return as Ori the white guardian spirit and Sein, the Forest’s Spirit Tree’s light and eyes. Like the first game, expect Metroidvania platformer action with a lively and fantastical world for players to explore. New combat and customization options are coming as well, along with new worlds to explore and enemies to face off against.

Developed by Moon Studios, the original Ori and the Blind Forest proved particularly popular thanks to its fantastical setting and relaxing gameplay, especially for a Metroidvania that prioritized puzzle-solving and platforming over combat. Ori originally launched in March 2015, meaning fans have been waiting for a new game for four years.

For now, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is planned as an Xbox and PC exclusive. For more information on the sequel and its Xbox One X features, head over to the game’s official website.
