Sony has announced a massive change in the PlayStation Plus July 2019 free games list, as PES 2019 has been removed and makes room to Detroit: Become Human. The title will be available together with Horizon Chase Turbo as initially planned.

Sony announced the change in a series of blog posts worldwide, as the shift involves all the zones covered by PlayStation Plus that had previously revealed PES 2019 as part of the July lineup.

“We are swapping the PS Plus games lineup for July. This month, we are adding Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition, which also includes Heavy Rain, to the July games lineup instead of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience,” says the post.

Detroit: Become Human will get replaced by several titles in specific zones where it is not available on PlayStation Plus. In Kuwait it will be replaced by PlayLink title Hidden Agenda, while Heavy Rain is not possible in Bahrain, Lebanon, Oman Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and is replaced by Beyond Two Souls as part of the Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition.

The free games are being deployed today, July 2, and will remain available for every subscriber around the world until August 5. Again, it’s something that has never happened before, and we’re surprised by this last-minute change of heart by Sony, perhaps due to a misunderstanding with Konami or some deal that didn’t work between the parts.
