Rayquaza and more third generation Pokémon are coming to Pokémon Go Feb. 13

These include Beldum, Salamence, Tropius, Altaria, and Taillow. Niantic has not revealed the full list of Pokémon being added to the game but fans are hopeful that they will see the final few added all at once.

A new legendary raid featuring the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza will also go live alongside the new Hoenn Pokémon.

Rayquaza’s addition to the game signals the end of Kyogre, however. Kyogre will leave on Valentines Day (Feb. 14) and will be replaced by Rayquaza, which will be available to catch in Legendary Raids until March 16.

Don’t go against it alone, however. Niantic advises at least a group of 15 players to take on these super powerful Pokémon during a raid.

Once a team beats a legendary Pokémon in a raid, players will be given a small amount of Pokéballs to try and catch it. If you fail, you will need to find another legendary raid to challenge Rayquaza again—and try all over again.

This means that Jirachi and Deoxys, which was recently revealed to be inside Pokémon Go’s recent update, are the last of the generation three legendary Pokémon that need to be added to the game. Niantic has given no clear indication on when fans can expect to see them yet, though.

Alongside the announcement, Niantic will be changing Pokémon Go’s encounters to just Hoenn Pokémon until Feb. 13 starting now, giving fans the chance to catch the more than 100 Hoenn Pokémon currently in the game before the last batch drop.
