Pokémon Quest has only been available for two days, but it’s already attracted over one million downloads on Switch. That’s an impressive number for a game that’s been up for grabs for such a short time.

Pokémon Quest is the newest “free to start” entry in the Pokémon series that finds players jumping into a world of cube-shaped Pokémon on Tumblecube Island. Much like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, you’ll seek out loot that can help you befriend the other Pokémon in the world. This time around though you aren’t playing as one, it’s just accompanying you on an adventure. In addition to searching for treasure, you’ll pick up ingredients to cook with, and battle wild Pokémon as well, as you do.

While the game is adorable, admittedly there isn’t a whole lot to it. It can be likened more to other similar tap-centric mobile games, as you can’t really control your Pokémon team in battle other than the moves you select for them and which three you utilize in battle to begin with. There’s also an auto-play function, so you don’t have to do much of anything at all, actually.

There are of course DLC bundles you can purchase, ranging from $5 to $18 that offer different decorations, items, and Pokémon. These mobile game trappings make the game equally engaging and frustrating, but if you like cute things and “tapper” titles, you’ll find plenty of things to enjoy about it. Obviously one million players have already.

Right now, it’s only available for Switch, but it’s planned for release on both iOS and Android this month.
