You may have seen the report last month about Gigantamax Pokemon characters coming to Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Some players are worried they may not have enough of a chance to capture these rarities. But don’t worry… you will.

Today, The Pokemon Company, in conjunction with Nintendo, revealed that a number of common Gigantamax Raids will take place following the game’s launch, giving players the chance to work together to capture one of their own.

The raids will kick off on the game’s launch day, Nov. 15, and run through Jan. 2020. During this time, several Max Raid Battles for Gigantamax Pokemon will be available. This includes more spawning for favorites like Gigantamax Butterfree, Gigantamax Drednaw, and Gigantamax Corviknight. More specifically, Dreadnaw will be available in Pokemon Sword, while Corviknight will be a typical offering in Pokemon Shield.

Even though only one player will be able to catch the rare Pokemon when all is said and done, more common spawns will give each of the four players taking part in the capture the opportunity to get their own, so the one who makes the final capture won’t be the only one reaping the benefits.

As for other characters, like Gigantamax Pikachu and Gigantamax Meowth, those details aren’t available yet. However, more opportunities could pop up as the New Year rolls on, with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company looking to continue support for the Pokemon gaming community. We’ll let you know when more details are available.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield arrive on Nov. 15 for Nintendo Switch.
