We’re going to receive more information about Pokemon Sword and Shield on August 7, according to a new tweet from the Pokemon Twitter page. While the tweet did go out earlier this morning, we didn’t receive too many details about this information is going to be.

Here’s the official tweet by the Pokemon Twitter page.

What we do get, though, is a quick gif of trainer walking out of the front of the stage and a brief glimpse at a more massive arena. It looks like the next information dump we’re going to receive about Pokemon Sword and Shield is going to pertain to the game’s more significant stadium battles. We do know that in the Galar region, the new area featured in Sword and Shield, Pokemon battles are Galar’s highest form of entertainment. As such, they create these massive battle arenas for thousands of people to watch and participate in while trainers go head to head.

We’re likely going to receive more information about how these stadium battles work, how often trainers can partake in battles in these areas, and what makes them so special. A unique thing to add would be for trainers to gain some form of audience approval based on how well they performed in the battle. The better the approval rating, the higher quality reward they receive in the end. All of these guesses are pure speculation.

For now, we’re going to have to wait until this Wednesday, Aug. 7, to find out what we’re going to learn next. We’re edging closer and closer to Pokemon Sword and Shield’s release date of Nov. 15.

If you haven’t already, you can pre-order the game for your Nintendo Switch right now. For those who want to experience all of the Pokemon coming to this new generation, you can purchase a special bundle featuring both versions of the upcoming Pokemon game.
