Consider this ad “the very best.” A new Pokemon Sword and Shield TV Commercial has just went live featuring the Might of the Gigantamax Charizard, and many other things.
With its release now officially just a week away, the hype has built to full throttle for Pokemon Sword and Shield. And what better way to keep the party going than with the official TV ad for the Nintendo Switch games?
The ad, which can be seen below, hails from Japan, but sets the mood for some epic Pokemon battles. It starts with a few Pokemon trainers and their beloved Pokemon fending off against a dangerous enemy. But just when you think all hope is lost, BAM! They summon a Gigantamax Charizard to even the odds, and we’ve got a real battle on our hands.
The ad has that Pokemon aura to it, introducing us to an epic battle that’s sure to come with Sword and Shield when they debut in the next few days. And it doesn’t hurt to have a few pals to talk up your game with anyway, so, hey, maybe you can discuss Gigantamax tactics.
There’s no word yet on when a U.S. ad will debut for Pokemon Sword and Shield, but we’re likely to see it sometime over the next few days. Whether it will be similar to this one or something entirely different, we’re not sure. But it’s bound to have a few Pokemon running around, taking on opponents and proving that they’re “the very best.”
