Or is it just in our heads?
A couple of days ago, the folks over at The Pokémon Company and Nintendo dropped a brand new Direct, showcasing new upcoming features in the latest entry in the Pokémon series, Sword and Shield.
Since then, we over at Gamepur, like a lot of folks, have been analyzing whatever secrets where hidden in-game, and one thing, in particular, has stood out above the rest.
We believe that the games could be getting some form of voice acting in it. Check our video below for a greater understanding of why we think that is and where we have come up with this “crazy” idea.

As you can see clearly in the Direct, some characters seem to have very vivid mouth animations that make it look like they are projecting sound, almost like they are talking. This has led us to believe that there might be some form of voice acting coming to the game in the future.
Of course, we have no sources, no ground, or no proof to back this up but its something that we are considering might be a possibility. We have seen similar mouth animations used in previous games during cutscenes with no voice.
If it is true though, this will mark the first time that the core Pokémon RPG series has had voice acting in it. In fact, voice acting has never been used in a Pokémon game, ever. If it were to be used though, it would only possibly be used in cutscenes and not the whole game.
But, that is our thoughts anyway. What do you think? Do you think Voice Acting could be coming to the games? Let us know in the comments below or on the video above.
