Something new is even on the horizon, thanks to an anonymous source who’s been in contact with GamesRadar.
According to the source, a launch in late 2019 or early 2020 is “technically possible” but there are no indicators about something like that happening.
The source says that “it’s unlikely Sony introduces a new console at or around the same time” when the PS4 first-party lineup is in one of its most crowded periods ever.
On top of that, the publication has been in touch with Tequila Works, and the indie developer known for Deadlight and Rime claims it hasn’t received dev kits for PlayStation 5 yet.
“We haven’t received anything regarding PS5 but rumors and to be honest [it] is quite hard to figure or imagine anything based on ‘gossip,'” said product manager Paula Palicio.
So, everything is still quite up in the air at this stage, but we believe that PS5 is not coming before the end of 2020.
A teaser could be around by the end of this year, perhaps at PlayStation Experience in December, early 2020, and then E3 would be the best fit for a full presentation.
