One of the few concerns about the Red Dead Online beta was linked to the possibility that players’ progress could be wiped at the release of the final client.
That was something users didn’t expect and most importantly wasn’t really convinced about, since they could’ve spent many hours of their playtime in vain during the beta.
Interestingly, Rockstar Games has announced in a tweet update that the beta won’t wipe progress whenever it ends.
“For players concerned about the potential for progress and stats resets, we currently do not have any plans to reset them as part of the beta’s rollout,” says the update.
Later this week, adds the studio, we’ll receive a brand new patch that will rework the economy in terms of balance and introduce more stability.
But that’s it – no more plans to wipe your progress, which is something we know has stopped lots of people from trying or at least enjoying the beta thus far.
