As reported by Twitter user Kevin Beaumont a few days ahead of the official multiplatform console launch, Red Dead Redemption 2 is featuring an optional 4K texture pack on Xbox One X.
The game has been rumored to be running at native 4K on Microsoft’s console, so it makes sense that we’ll be able to watch and play it with such resolution’s textures, of course on supported monitors and televisions.
While the resolution still remains to be defined, so, there’s a chance we’ll be getting this 4K texture pack by enabling it in the settings of the console.
As you might guess, that’ll require an even higher amount of data to be downloaded on your Xbox One X, on a platform that’s already required to download around 107GB in order to let you play the game.
Luckily enough, Rockstar Games has enabled preload on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so at least you can arrive upon day one without any other stuff to be downloaded outside of this additional texture pack.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming October 26, 2018
