Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Version Mentioned In Rockstar Games Social Club Code

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

We’ve taken it for granted many and many times, but it has yet to be officially announced — the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most desired games out there and, while we still believe it is coming soon, it is taking a lot of time just to be revealed.

Many fans have been expecting an announcement from Rockstar regarding the PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2, but we still have received no official statement about it.

From time to time, we get more rumors about it happening, and this time around there’s a chance we could get closer to a proper announcement. The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 got mentioned in the source code of the official website of Rockstar Games Social Club.

The code mentions “RDR2_PC_Accomplishments,” which looks like a serious hint at a PC version of the title is already in the making. It seems like the Social Club website is already propped up to get ready for it to release.

Of course, this could be something happening out of a coincidence or referring to something completely different from a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Considering that Red Dead Online is now of the beta, we do believe that Rockstar Games has moved to some other more significant project now, and that could be RDR2 for PC.

Rockstar Games proved over the years to have a good relationship with the PC environment and could see a benefit in the revenue split offered by the Epic Games Store (Borderlands 3, another Take-Two Interactive published the game, is an exclusive over there). However, the original Red Dead Redemption has never shown up on it as of now.
