Grab your strong Pokémon and get searching trainers. There isn’t that much time left before some of Pokémon Go’s strongest monsters are removed from the game.
The Kanto legendary bird trip of Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno, alongside their special shiny variants, will be leaving the game on Sept. 20, a week after they were added into legendary raid locations across the world.
Regirock, the last of the Regi trio who has been in the game since early August, is also slated to be removed from the game on Sept. 20.
While things could (and likely will) change, there are currently no plans for these legendary Pokémon to return, so if you need them for your Pokédex, you might want to get out there and catch them quick.
Players hoping to snag one of these Pokémon will need to grab a large group of friends and tackle one of the legendary raids scattered around the world. Niantic advises that a group of 15 tackle the Pokémon at one time if they want to have a chance at beating and catching some of these legendaries.
Once a legendary raid Pokémon has been defeated, trainers will be given a small amount of Poké Balls to cry and catch it. Fail, and you will need to seek out another legendary raid around the area to try again.
