Remedy is working on Control, its next IP, but has still a place in its heart for Alan Wake, one of the Finnish studio’s most popular series that was released back in the days on Xbox One and PC.
In a recent interview, Mikael Kasurinen from the developer talked about the chance that we could see a new game in the franchise sooner or later, and he said that all the team at Remedy is willing to do something in that universe.
“So we own the Alan Wake IP, yes. I just want to say right away that it’s very dear to us and close to our hearts. We all love Alan Wake at Remedy and I think all of us want to see a new Alan Wake game,” Kasurinen said.
“I just want to say that out loud. Unfortunately, I can’t speak to it any more than that. We’ll see what happens with Alan Wake next but we all want to see it happen, absolutely.”
Control is apparently sharing more similarities with Quantum Break than with Alan Wake, but anyway it seems to have some paranormal activity that will make fans of the latter a bit happier to play it.
The game is releasing on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2019.
