Resident Evil 8 Reportedly Coming 2021 For PS5 And Xbox Scarlett

According to a new rumor, Resident Evil 8 is reportedly coming early 2021 for next-gen systems PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.

Based on intel gathered by insider Dusk Golem, Capcom is aiming to make Resident Evil an annual franchise.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is part of the same plan, apparently, and would be set to ship in early 2020 by an external studio.

Resident Evil 8 would’ve been “a bit delayed” internally in comparison with the original plan, but it would make it in time for January 2021 or later in 2021.

“The series will be kinda “unofficially” almost annual for the next few years, though of course as game development goes anything could be delayed,” the insider says.

“For example, RE8 got a bit delayed and I can say to you now that you shouldn’t expect it until next-gen is on the table.”

We don’t have new information about the game but remember that a previous rumor claimed that the title would be set on an abandoned island and getting the third person view back.
