Project Resistance is getting a closed beta for early October for those interested in trying out the game before it releases.
Capcom’s upcoming game for the Resident Evil series, Project Resistance, is getting a closed beta starting in October. The game features four-player characters against one character controlling the numerous zombies hellbent on destroying the party.
Project Resistance had been leaked several times before Capcom announced the game’s release through a trailer. You can watch the trailer below, to see what the game is going to be like. The four characters are brand new to the series, outside of the usual cast who normally reside in Resident Evil.
The closed beta is set to go from Oct. 4 to 7, and if you’re interested in signing up for the event, you can do so from Sept. 12 to 19. You’re going to have to go to Project Resistance’s official website to submit your name and information to the developers. Should they reach out to you about joining the game, you’ll likely receive an email about the information.
The third-person multiplayer game features four new characters, and we have them listed below and what makes them unique. Each of them has different roles and skills that make them stand out in the overall party:
- January: The hacker who disables cameras to prevent the enemy player from attacking the party
- Samuel: The attacker who can destroy an array of enemies at a single time, making it easier for the party to fight and progress
- Tyrone: The party’s tank who protects everyone in the party, with a powerful kick to knock down enemies
- Valerie: The supporting character, keeping up the entire party on their feet using heals and other support-based options
The one who plays the fifth character is going to control the numerous cameras around the facility the four players are attempting to navigate through to escape. They’re going to release the zombies and besiege the four-player party to prevent them from leaving, and eventually, they’re going to gain access to a Mr. X they can control, with a variety of skills and attacks to fight them.
We do not have a release date for Project Resistance. It is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC through Steam.
