Fans of classic multiplayer roguelike games will no doubt find something to enjoy with Risk of Rain 2. And now, they can do so in physical format.

Gearbox Publishing, alongside the team at Hopoo Games, announced that the retail version of the hit sequel is now available at select retailers for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Along with the sequel and a reversible cover with original artwork, the game also includes the original 2D Risk of Rain on the same cartridge.

A number of retailers are listing the game, but it looks like Walmart has all three versions in stock, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It’s selling for $29.99, a fairly good value considering what’s included.

For those who missed the original release, Risk of Rain 2 has up to four people taking part in fights against hordes of monsters, while at the same time collecting loot and looking for some way to escape a desolate planet.

Gearbox also promised that the game “will receive continued developer support with new stages, playable Survivors, challenging adversaries and other content added through next year,” according to the press release. The next update is set to arrive sometime this winter, with others set for spring and summer 2020.

With its combination of third-person shooter tactics and roguelike elements, Risk of Rain 2 shouldn’t leave you feeling drenched when it comes to your holiday shopping.
