Like with Fortnite’s Battle Pass, the Rocket Pass allows players to unlock new content. Several Rocket Passes will be available in Rocket League throughout the year, “with an emphasis on new, unique content for each pass,” Psyonix said in a blog post detailed the feature.

Two different versions of the Rocket League Rocket Pass will be available later in the summer, a premium pass that costs $10 or the free iteration. The paid Rocket pass unlocks more content, like “customization items, new car bodies, keys, premium player banners, and premium titles.” Experience point boosts are also unlockable, which will multiple XP earned during the Rocket Pass. XP awards will help players advance through the Rocket Pass quicker than usual.
Rocket Passes will be available on all platforms. All items are tradeable, and players can upgrade to the premium pass at any time while a Rocket Pass is active. All content available in the Premium Rocket Pass will be available to view before purchasing.
The tiered system unlocks as Rocket League players level up. But players can purchase tiers with keys to get rewards quicker. “We’re still finalizing the total number of tiers that will be available in the first Rocket Pass, so we’ll have more to share on that aspect soon,” Psyonix said.
Once all tiers are unlocked, pro tiers become available—but only if you have the premium pass. “Each pro tier rewards you with a random painted and/or certified version of a premium Rocket Pass item you’ve already unlocked,” Psyonix said. “Even better, you won’t see any duplicate rewards from pro tiers until you’ve completed the full set of each paint color and certification for the current pass.”
Psyonix didn’t reveal a date for the Rocket Pass’ arrival.
