Rockstar Games is one of the most talented studios out there, not only for the quality and care they pour down on their titles but also for how they manage to excite the entire gaming community up. This means that any little move they do is a reason for people to go crazy literally.
And this is why we’re here today. Rockstar Games North has indeed removed a banner from the front of their headquarters in Holyrood, Edinburgh, Scotland, for unspecified reasons, as reported by Scottish outlet Edinburghlive.com.
The banner was put over there in the occasion of the Red Dead Redemption 2 release marketing campaign and featured the game’s protagonist Arthur Morgan together with the tagline of the title, “Outlaws for life.”
Now the banner is no more, and people are already starting to try and figure out why they’re removing it. Of course, it could be that, with RDR2 finally shipped, they could gain some natural light on the front of the building, but also that they’re preparing to market some other game…
Lately, there’s been a lot of chatter about Bully 2 is on its way, and already well ahead in development at Rockstar Games. We wouldn’t be surprised to see that Red Dead Redemption 2 banner being replaced by one with the protagonist of the sequel in the school-based series.
With that said, chances that a new banner will pop up in the short term are sparse, but as we approach the next generation of consoles, you can’t rule out some surprises in the next couple years, whether it’s already a release or an announcement for what’s next for Rockstar Games.
