Microsoft gave fans their first look at the upcoming From Software title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice during its E3 2018 showcase today.

Sekiro will take place in feudal Japan, following FromSoftware’s typical style of fast and furious combat with high difficulty levels. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the game will have players taking control of a “hard-hearted warrior” who’s on a journey to rescue his master and take revenge on an old arch-nemesis.

FromSoftware’s hook spells out what we’ll do in-game nicely: “Take Revenge. Restore your honor. Kill Ingeniously.” The bloody new title features a ninja with a prosthetic arm out for blood, with plenty of grappling hook action, swordfighting, and a cavalcade of other ninja skills required for you to emerge victorious from every battle—even those against enemies like the enormous snake seen in the trailer.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Shadows Die Twice, however—it made its debut last year during The Game Awards with an extremely brief teaser trailer. When the game first made its debut, fans were under the impression that it might simply be a new addition to the Bloodborne series, or perhaps even a continuation of the Tenchu saga. Instead, we’ve learned that it’s an original IP that looks like it has a staggering amount of potential.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is projected for an early 2019 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, though we don’t have a concrete date just yet.
