Lab Zero Games’ upcoming RPG Indivisible lands on Nintendo Switch this year, and a new trailer reveals the game’s battle system is getting a major overhaul.

The video update, which comes with a blog post describing the new changes, shows off a slightly more tactical approach to combat than Indivisible’s original prototype. For one, certain enemies can now block throughout the game, forcing players to use the Focus Selection ability to study enemies, figure out if a monster can block, and alternate between targets.

There’s also new actions that let players shut down an enemy’s block. Lab Zero is adding in Guard Crush, a special attack that rewards players’ Iddhi meter with successful hits. Refilling Iddhi is pretty important, as it’s a resource central to healing allies and damaging enemies during battles, so players will have to monitor its usage carefully if they want to win fights.

Alongside Guard Crush, players can also use a Technical Break to destroy a guard for a minor Iddhi reward, and Magic and Iddhi attacks can also do damage to enemies that are blocking. Indivisible will even let players juggle enemies in the air between their party, too, letting multiple allies build up Iddhi simultaneously. This means the new changes encourage a lot more flexibility during combat, forcing players to understand characters’ strengths and weaknesses before attacking.

Indivisible is currently slated for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Linux, Mac, and PC for later this year. In the meantime, Lab Zero Games’ Skullgirls is still on sale with the Humble Brawler Bundle for players that want to give the team’s debut game a shot.
