Over the past few weeks, we’ve reported several rumors about Splinter Cell, the stealth series that Ubisoft has publicly said it’s keen in bringing back but not as soon as fans might be wanting. Now, as E3 2019 approaches, we have one more supposed leak that could please you.

GameStop has introduced in its listings a Sam Fisher Goggles Replica, which was at a certain point even open for pre-orders, and then removed like they were revealed ahead of the proper time. We can’t tell if there is a connection to a game announcement happening soon, but that’s rather suspicious.

The listing has been found and shared by well informed Twitter user Wario64, and it is also worth noting that it was posted under the “E3 Collectibles” label on GameStop’s official website, which further leads to a Splinter Cell game reveal at the incoming E3 2019.

Ubisoft has said it has a couple of surprises for its E3 media briefing. However, they should all be covered by Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs Legion, which should respectively drop in 2020 and later this year as rumored. Could Sam Fisher have a spot there, too?

As we’ve reported in the past, CEO Yves Guillemot had shared that there was someone at the company taking care of the brand and hinted at a possible return very soon for the franchise. A few weeks later, a rumor came from reliable Kotaku’s Jason Schreier said the opposite – that no Splinter Cell is being made right now.

In case you’re wondering what’s happening at Ubisoft’s E3 media briefing, here’s a quick rundown of the things we want to see at the event.
