Battlefront II Gets a New Game Type

Recommended Videos

Star Wars Battlefront II is just the game that keeps on giving. With continuous updates adding new characters and maps, it was only a matter of time before we saw a new game mode. That time has finally arrived in the form of a game mode called Capital Supremacy, which focuses on the prequel-era of the Star Wars franchise. The objective of the game is to destroy the enemy’s capital ship, but to get there, the teams have to go through a series of objectives – including the control of Command Posts.

One of the most interesting pieces about this new game mode is that players will not only be fighting alongside other human players but also non-human AI, which will fill the battlefield for a more chaotic experience. According to Newsweek, the game mode also limits the Hero/Villain choices to those accurate to that era’s canon. Sorry Boba Fett fans, unfortunately, the bounty hunter will have to sit this one out.

Along with this update, Battlefront II players can expect two new character models to release soon. First, we’ve got the Commando Droid, which fans will remember from the animated series, Clone Wars. We also have the Arc Trooper, which is a great addition to the already expanded roster of clones to choose from.

These updates are excited for sure and only adds to the fact that Battlefront II has come a long way from where it first started.
