According to a job listing, Bethesda Game Studios might be about to start its voice work on Starfield, its first brand new intellectual property in over twenty years.
The job listing does not mention Starfield directly, but it says that the studio is indeed working on a “bleeding-edge of RPG development for the PC and consoles.”
It looks like that description fits rather good both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI, although we’ve been said in the past that Starfield is coming earlier and so would look an even better fit for the listing.
“In this role, the Voice Designer will coordinate, design and implement outstanding dialogue for our games for current and next-generation AAA games,” also says the listing.
In the past, we’ve been hinted at the game, which has been revealed at E3 2018, is aiming for next-gen systems.
While this means it’ll still take a while, it looks like, with voice designing already about to start, it could be dropping quite early in the generation of PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.
Bethesda has a good experience with new consoles’ launches as its The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion was a launch window game for Xbox 360.
So, could it be the same for Starfield, with the next-gen systems releasing at least reportedly in the fall of 2020? We’ll see.
