Ubisoft and Nintendo have announced a brand new partnership to bring Star Fox to Ubisoft’s new toys-for-life game, Starlink: Battle for Atlus.
The Star Fox toy will only be available to use exclusively in the Nintendo Switch version of the game. The Xbox One and PS4 versions were also revealed at the conference alongside a launch date of Oct. 16.
The announcement was made during an initial story reveal trailer for the game at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference. The trailer revealed most of the main cast, some new toys that will be coming out for the game, and some new exciting gameplay.
The game was originally shown off at Ubisoft’s conference last year alongside other titles that are set to be revealed over the next few months, including the upcoming Donkey Kong DLC expansion for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
You play the game by collecting modular toys and parts from stores that can be added to a spaceship, changing your weapons on the fly or giving you special abilities. The Star Fox ship will be part of the Nintendo Switch starter pack, with additional ships available to buy separately.
The prices of the individual toys are currently unknown but the base game will set you back $75 for one ship, a handful of weapons, a starting character, and the game itself.
