This was particularly relevant as many thought that Redfall could be the official subtitle for the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI.
A few months ago we reported about a trademark dispute happening between ZeniMax Media and a book company over the name Redfall.
This was particularly relevant as many thought that Redfall could be the official subtitle for the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI.
While we’ve not received any confirmation that this is going to be the name of the game, we do know that the dispute has now been “amicably resolved.”
With this happening in May, and Bethesda having a media briefing at E3 2019, there’s a chance that The Elder Scrolls 6 might be getting a new reveal at the conference.
“ZeniMax Media Inc. and Bookbreeze.com are pleased to announce that they have amicably resolved a pending trademark dispute related to the Redfall trademark,” said the companies in a note.
“While the specific terms of the agreement are confidential, the parties believe that resolution of the matter is mutually beneficial to both ZeniMax and Bookbreeze.com and their respective fans.”
Of course, this doesn’t mean The Elder Scrolls VI will be named Redfall, as the trademark might be used for any other property of ZeniMax Media.
Sure enough, there’s a chance that we might be going to see that name in The Elder Scrolls universe, and possibly in the sixth mainline chapter too, as soon as it gets showcased once again.
