Though the game is still about a week away from release, Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds is riding a massive wave of hype. With that, the developer, alongside Private Division, has released a launch trailer, highlighting what fans can look forward to on Oct. 25.

In the trailer, we’re introduced to a not-so-likely hero as they make their way through various parts of the galaxy, coming across problematic foes and interesting characters alike.

Here’s the official story, straight from Obsidian:

“Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself amid a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become, will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.”

The game also features critical decisions that you can make, which will affect your character. Will you take a component out of your weapon to spare some enemies for a reward, possibly risking your life? Or will you play down and dirty? The choice is yours.

You’ll also be able to sign on members of your crew however you see fit. You’re going to work with them to help accomplish their own goals. It’ll have a layer of personality only a team like Obsidian can genuinely deliver.

With hours’ of gameplay, stunning visuals, and a deep story, The Outer Worlds promises to be a trek like no other. It releases on Oct. 25 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch as well, though it doesn’t have a release date just yet.
