A first graphics comparison between PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro versions of Vampyr shows that Dontnod has not implemented any particular improvement between the two consoles from Sony.

According to Candyland, whose comparison you can watch below, there’s not been any particular change between PS4 and PS4 Pro, as even the resolution is apparently the same.

Vampyr PS4 vs PS4 Pro Graphics Comparison

“My short graphics comparison of Vampyr (2018) on PC, PS4 and PS4 Pro. PC is set to 4K with max graphics, please see the video for the exact settings. There doesn’t seem to be any difference between base PS4 and PS4 Pro,” says the description of the video.

“In my opinion, I don’t like the quite blurry appearance of the consoles. The film grain is a bit too aggressive, also it would have been nice to see a resolution bump on the PS4 Pro.”

This is perhaps to be linked to the limited budget Dontnod, which has become quite popular for its work on the Life Is Strange series, had at its disposal during the development process.

Vampyr is now available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
