One of gaming’s great free-to-play games is finally coming to Nintendo Switch.

That’s right folks, Warframe is finally here, offering you and your friends enough content to slug through for month’s to come. The free-to-play cooperative third-person-shooter will have you suit up to take on hoards of terrifying foes all in the name of leveling up and grinding for the best gear.

The game has revealed a bunch of free expansions, events, and more over the year’s and most of them will be available day one of Nintendo Switch when you boot up the game for the first time.

Release Date

Warframe for Nintendo Switch releases on Nov. 20, 2018 worldwide. It comes out four years after the Xbox One release and five years after the the PS4 launch.

Plot

Set in the future, you control a member of the Tenno, a race of warriors that find themselves hurled into a war against multiple different races. Your job is simple, level up and fight off anyone that stands in your way in a series of events and missions.

To aid you in the fight, you are given a remotely controlled bio-suit known as a Warframe which gives you enhanced abilities that can help you overcome any odds.

Will I need a Nintendo online subscription to play this game?

No. As it is a free-to-play game similar to Fortnite, you won’t need to buy a Nintendo online subscription to play this game online alone or with your friends.
