World War Z is turning into a surprise hit, and it looks like Saber Interactive and Focus Home Entertainment have a winner on their hands.
After just a month of sales, World War Z from Saber Interactive and Focus Home Entertainment is already approaching 2 million units sold across PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This is good news for all involved, as it means the game is a certified hit. A new Accolades Trailer has been released to celebrate their success,
Even Paramount Pictures, owners of the World War Z IP, seems very happy with the sales. Josh Austin, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Licensing and Interactive at Paramount, said;
World War Z has fast become one of our most successful interactive games to date. It’s a testament to both the incredible co-op action experience that Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have crafted, as well as the strong appeal of our hit franchise with fans across the globe.
World War Z is a four-player, third-person cooperative shooter that pits players against hordes of zombies. Levels are mostly built around the idea of frantic runs between set pieces battles against some very impressively sized mobs of zombies. I had a lot of fun with the game, and it certainly scratches the Left 4 Dead itch.
Over the coming months, more content will be coming to the game, including new missions and a new type of zombie. There will also be a new difficulty setting for those who are already taking on the games toughest challenges.
