Former Motorstorm and Driveclub developers came together to work on a new sci-fi genre under new studio name Wushu. It is unclear what genre the game will be, Wushu Studio did not share any major updates with the press. Wushu Studio is established in Liverpool England, Alan McDermott is the heading the studio, Nigel Kershaw is the Design Director and Stuart Trevor is appointed as the Art Director. All three of them had worked on Motorstorm and Driveclub for Sony.

Wushu Studio

The current project of Wushu Studio is based on sci-fi genre as reported. A team of 11 people is right-now on the project, the studio is expanding the team with a goal to bring a brand new IP with the tantalizing and unexpected take.

“Our core team at Wushu have worked together closely on numerous projects over the years so there was no downtime in figuring out how to work together, we just fell straight into a groove kicking around game ideas that appealed to us as players and developers” – Alan McDermott.

It is hard to say anything about the new IP, it looks the studio is planning to bring something unique as it is portrayed through the comments by senior personals. There are possible chances we might get to hear a lot this year on the new title, at-least the studio will tease the game they are working on. It is also clear that this is definitely not a racing game, based on the developer’s prior experience, the studio has collaborated with a new team to build up a new game on Unreal Engine.
