The Witcher 2 and Crackdown are now available for Xbox One X with improved graphics settings.
Now that the Xbox One X is out, Microsoft is expanding its library by looking to the past. Xbox One X is getting additional backward compatibility support for enhanced Xbox 360 titles, including enhanced graphics for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Four new enhanced titles were revealed by Xbox’s Lead Program Manager Bill Stillwell in a post from Xbox Wire. Here’s the full list of Xbox 360 games now available with improved graphics for Xbox One X:
- Crackdown
- Fable Anniversary
- Forza Horizon
- The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Enhanced Xbox 360 games run at a higher resolution than their original launches, feature a 9x pixel count increase, have improved textures, and offer antialiasing for smoother model edges. Through the program, Xbox One X users can also play games with either the enhanced video settings or rendered at an Xbox One-equivalent output.
Here’s the full catalog of games available, including the new additions:
- Assassin’s Creed
- Crackdown
- Fable Anniversary
- Fallout 3
- Forza Horizon
- Gears of War 3
- Halo 3
- Mirror’s Edge
- Oblivion
- Skate 3
- The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Enhanced Xbox 360 releases were originally unveiled in late October 2017 before the Xbox One X launched, after Xbox announced that games like Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed would launch with improved graphical capabilities. Expect more enhanced Xbox 360 games in the near future as the service continues to expand.
