Xbox Game Pass is removing a sizeable chunk of games at the end of May

The service will be doing a pretty significant purge in terms of removing games from the platform at the end of the month, so it’s your last chance to try some of these titles for free with your membership if you haven’t done so already. 

Among some other smaller titles are gems like The BioShock Trilogy, Borderlands, SoulCalibur, and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, all well worth the $9.99 a month entry fee. 

The following games will be removed from the Xbox Game Pass collection as of May 31:

• SoulCalibur

• Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2
• Pac-Man Championship Edition DX
• Bound by Flame
• Sacred 3
• SEGA Vintage Collection Alex Kidd & Co.
• XCOM: Enemy Within

Xbox Game Pass, much like Netflix, is a service where you pay a flat fee each month for access to a variety of different video games that you can play for free as long as you’re a member. Unfortunately it means that great titles will be rotated in and out to make way for other things. 

In terms of the games that are being removed, all are third-party titles whose licenses Microsoft doesn’t own, but hopefully they’ll be rotated in again at some point. Until then, you’ve got State of Decay 2 to look forward to, as well as any other first-party Microsoft title released as soon as launch day hits. Sea of Thieves is also currently available on the service.
